Reinstall a VPS

Reinstall replaces the VPS operating system from the panel. It is a destructive action: data on the system disk is wiped unless you have restored from backup elsewhere.

  1. Save anything you need from the server (SSH or console).
  2. Create a panel backup if you may need to recover files.
  3. Note firewall rules and any custom network setup to recreate after reinstall.
  1. Go to Services → VPS → Open VPS panel.
  2. Choose Reinstall (or equivalent).
  3. Select the OS template offered.
  4. Confirm. The process may take several minutes.

After reinstall, use the new root credentials provided by the panel and secure the server again.

Reinstall is done by you in the VPS panel. Support does not routinely wipe or reinstall servers on your behalf. If you cannot access the panel, open a ticket.
