Transfer a domain

Transferring a domain moves registration to CyprusNode while keeping your domain name. Start from Domains and follow the transfer flow for your TLD.

Before you transfer

1. Unlock the domain at the current registrar.
2. Request the authorization (EPP) code.
3. Confirm registrant email is current — approval emails may be sent.
4. Ensure the domain is not within registry lock or recent transfer windows imposed by the TLD.

Start the transfer

1. Initiate transfer on cyprusnode.com/domains.
2. Enter the domain and auth code when asked.
3. Pay the transfer invoice in EUR.

Registry transfers can take several days. The domain may extend by one year depending on TLD rules (shown at checkout).

Danger

After the transfer is submitted to the registry, it is not withdrawable. Transfers are not refundable like other domain orders.

DNS during transfer

You can keep existing DNS at the old provider until cutover, or point to CyprusNode — see DNS. Plan mail and website downtime carefully if you change MX or A records at the same time.
